Belgian Strong Dark Ale?
I never really thought of this as a belgian but I guess it kind of makes sense. The raisons give it a sweet taste that compliments the malts very nicely. This is a good beer if you like it sweet.

Video 11 Jun 1 note

I wanted to re-post my review of the DFH review before I post some thing on the Victory release. That way we can compare together. I’m still looking for a Stone version.

Dogfish Head/Stone/Victory | Saison Du Buff | 6.8% ABV

Saison

This beer is a collaboration between Dogfish Head, Stone, and Victory. It’s a Saison brewed with parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme. Yes, like the facking Simon & Garfunkel album. Despite my unintentional hatred for the saison, I really like this one. I’m not really familiar with the taste of these spices, but combined it makes for a very delicious and refreshing beer. I’ll make sure there’s a four pack of this at my next BBQ. Go get this one. Stone and Victory will be releasing a bottle in April and May as well. I’ll be trying those too!

Victory Brewing/Stone Brewing/Dogfish Head Brewery | Saison Du Buff | 6.8% ABV

Saison

ROUND 2! This has more of a bitter swing to it. It’s been a while since I had the DFH release but I remember their’s being sweeter. I unno. I’m not a fan of saisons and this is pretty typical. I could do without it.

Price: I bought this one 12oz bottle for $2.59

Why haven’t you tried this beer yet? In my experience, this is the best, most easy to find imperial IPA out there. Just fucking go get it cunts.

BOOM! What a great idea this was. Not sure if this is officially sanctioned by Dogfish head. This is 50% 120 minute IPA and 50% world wide stout. Both start out at 18% ABV and YES it is as delicious as it sounds. The IPA mellows the boozey taste from the stout and the stout calms the bitterness of the IPA. If you can get your hands on these do it. You won’t be sorry.

This fackin beer…. Originally created by some dudes with too much time on their hands and the “lets make the strongest beer in the world” attitude. This beer evolved into a monster of a stout. The one I’m drinking was bottled on 11/17/09. So it’s got some age on it. I’m going to pick up a few more for the cellar. It has a heavy booze smell to it. It’s got a strong roasted malt flavor to it. It almost tastes like a bourbon barrel aged beer. It’s interesting. I’d like to see what a third or even fourth year will do to it. Dogfish Head is not brewing this beer this year so if you see it on the shelf, pick it up. I love this beer for what it is more than how it tastes and I’m OK with that. Just go get one and put it in your cellar.

Whoa boy! This is a monster of an IPA and my personal favorite! This used to be a seasonal brew but it got so popular and dogfish just expanded so now it’s year round! WOOHOO! This is a very unique beer and I’m going to facking tell you why. First, it starts off as two separate beers - an english old ale and an imperial IPA.  Then, they’re blended into a HUGE oak oak barrel and aged for about a month. This smooths over the boozey taste that you would expect form a 10 percenter and gives it an oak almost scotch taste. Very delicious. For me, this is the IPA to beat.

Ancient Ale - Mead
2,700 years in the making, this beer most closely resembles a mead. It’s made with barley, honey and grapes. The grapes really come out in the aroma. The taste starts with a white grape and finishes honey. This beer is extremely delcious. Go out and get some but beware, is packs a punch at 9%. You won’t be drinking this all night.
Hops: I don’t think there is any
